Weekly Programs at Eastside
(See newsletter’s calendar for schedule)
We are very excited to announce that Eastside is now partnering with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Tee Weems, a state assistance caseworker with MDHHS, will be available at the center to assist clients biweekly at the Eastside Senior Center.
Ms. Weems will be available to assist seniors who are applying for or receiving benefits/assistance from MDHHS, such as food assistance, Medicare Savings Program, Medicaid and other assistance programs. For anyone who has questions about their case, needs help understanding a benefits letter or has general questions about state assistance, Tee will be able to help. She is very knowledgeable about all MDHHS assistance programs and also will be available to assist seniors with referrals to other community resources.
