This FREE class is offered through the Valley Area Agency on Aging, every Wednesday at 10:30 am. This is an instructor led exercise class designed to improve mobility, strength and functional ability.
Mondays at 1:00pm. This is an exercise video designed to reduce the risk of falling.
Bid Euchre is played every Friday at 1:00 p.m, and every Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m.
Come play Penny Bingo every Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., Regular Bingo every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m, Progressive Bingo every Thursday at 6:00 pm., and Fast Bingo every Friday at 1:00 p.m. Playing Bingo keeps the senses sharp and lifts your emotional well being. Why not bring a friend?
Duplicate Bridge is held Monday and Thursday at 1:00, and Tuesday at 5:30.
Bunco is played every Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
Caregiver’s Art Program
This exciting opportunity is designed for you if you are caring for a loved one, you are at least 60 years old, you need to spend time doing something for you! If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you are invited and encouraged to take two hours each month and participate in the “Anyone Can Paint Class”, FREE of charge!

Coloring for Relaxation
Adult coloring books have recently gained popularity for their stress-relieving abilities. All supplies are provided for this program, so why not try it out? When: Tuesdays from 1:00– 2:00
This is a quick cooking class, designed to teach simple meals or snacks. This class is free; however, donations are always appreciated. Check the newsletter for times!

Exercise for Free:
Our treadmill and exercise bike are available daily for your use and convenience! The staff will teach you how to use them.
Grief Paint Class
If you are experiencing grief due to the loss of a loved one, please consider joining this class. We are able to offer this to program to you without cost due to funding from a memorial donation. You absolutely do not need any special talent to attend this class. Our instructor, Steve Wood, will bring all of the supplies for you and provide assistance while you paint a picture. And, you will be able to take your completed “Masterpiece” home the same day. Call the office to sign up.
Hand, Knee and Foot:
Hand and Foot is a card game similar to Canasta or Rummy that is very entertaining. You are invited every Saturday at 1:00!
Come and meet our teacher Steve Wood who has a unique ability to blend humor, encouragement and painting on the second Tuesday of each month from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. You will leave with a complete painting, an art lesson and a smile on your face! Cost $20.
Looking for a good book to read? Eastside has a variety of books to borrow or exchange. We accept donated books. We especially look for autobiographies, mysteries, bestselling authors and LARGE PRINT!
Each Monday and Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. there will be beginners instruction and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. advanced instruction. Our wonderful teacher Marge will give you the best of instruction and encouragement!
Make It, Take It
We will be making a new craft every Wednesday. If you are unable to attend class, we will repeat the project on Thursday. Please sign up by the Monday prior so that we can provide enough supplies. Class is FREE unless otherwise noted. When: Every Wednesday at 9:30 & Thursdays at 1:00
Mexican Train Dominoes
This is a relatively new game played at the Senior Winter Games. The object of the game is for a player to play all the dominoes from his or her hand onto one or more chains, or “trains”, emanating from a central hub or “station”. We welcome anyone wanting to practice for the games and are happy to teach people interested in learning! When: Every Monday at 3:00
Mahjong has been canceled due to lack of interest. Please call if you and interested, we would love to bring this program back!
Pinochle is played every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Double Deck Pinochle is also played on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. Come and enjoy!
Each Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. you can come join this great game that is a cross between cards and Bingo.
Seniors come and play pool Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Join a pool group, bring a group to play or come practice on your own!
Sit, Stand, Stretch with Julie
Fridays at 9:00. This class is being offered free of charge by Mid Michigan Home Health and Hospice. This is a safe, low impact exercise for anyone to try!
Sit ‘N Stitch:
This is a new knitting, crocheting, needlework club that will meet in the Arts & Crafts room every Thursday. The room will be open all day for your use. Join the group to share your talents, and ideas and socialize!
This is a FREE seated exercise class offered by Comfort Keepers. Join us for stretching, arm and leg warm ups as well as weights and stretchy bands, cool downs and breathing exercises. Tuesdays 10:00-11:00 am.
Sewing and Quilting
Our sewing and quilting group needs help. This holiday season we will be making pillows, dolls and scarves to donate to Toys for Tots. We could use some extra help in making all of these gifts. Please joins us! Tuesdays 9:00-12:00.
