Bible Study

Fridays 10:30am-11:30am
Join a friendly group for a time of reflection.

Bingo

Come play Bingo every Tuesday at 1:00pm, Wednesday at 1:00pm, and every Friday at 1:00 p.m. Playing Bingo keeps the senses sharp and lifts your emotional well being. Why not bring a friend?

Duplicate Bridge

Duplicate Bridge is held Tuesday at 4:30 and Thursday at 1:00pm.

Bunco

Bunco is played every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

Grief/Caregiver’s Art Program

This exciting opportunity is designed for you if you are caring for a loved one or grieving the loss of a loved one, are at least 60 years old and live in Genesee County.  If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you are invited and encouraged to take two hours each month and participate in the “Anyone Can Paint Class”, FREE of charge! This program is fully funded by Genesee County of Senior Millage funds.

Interested in playing Chess? Come join this great group that plays on Tuesday Nights at 6:30 p.m.

Coloring for Relaxation

Adult coloring books have recently gained popularity for their stress-relieving abilities.  All supplies are provided for this program, so why not try it out?  When: Tuesdays from 1:00– 2:00

Dementia Support Group

Are you caring for a loved one with dementia? Come and join other care givers for a time of sharing your experiences and exchanging techniques that work for you. Periodically we will have guest speakers. On Fridays—Once a month. Check calendar page for the date.

Euchre

Come to play Euchre on Wednesdays at 5:15 p.m.!

Hand, Foot and Knee (Unavailable)

Hand and Foot is a card game similar to Canasta or Rummy that is very entertaining. You are invited every Monday at 5:00 p.m.

Landscape Painting

Come and meet our teacher Steve Wood who has a unique ability to blend humor, encouragement and painting on the SECOND Tuesday of each month from 10:00 to Noon. You will leave with a complete painting, an art lesson and a smile on your face! Cost $20.

Library

Looking for a good book to read? Eastside has a variety of books to borrow or exchange. We are currently not accepting donated books.

Make It, Take It

If you are unable to attend Monday’s class, we will repeat the project on Thursday.  Please sign up by the Monday prior so that we can provide enough supplies. Money donations are appreciated to help supply craft projects.

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (Unavailable)

We are very excited to announce that Eastside is now partnering with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.  A state assistance caseworker with MDHHS will be available at the center to assist clients biweekly at the Eastside Senior Center.

The caseworker will be available to assist seniors who are applying for or receiving benefits/assistance from MDHHS, such as food assistance, Medicare Savings Program, Medicaid and emergency assistance programs. For anyone who has questions about their case, needs help understanding a benefits letter or has general questions about state assistance, we will be able to help.  We will also be available to assist seniors with referrals to other community resources.

Pinochle

Pinochle is played every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Double Deck Pinochle is also played on Mondays at 12:30pm. Come and enjoy!

Pool Table

Seniors come and play pool Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Join a pool group, bring a group to play or come practice on your own!

Red Hats

Join the local red hat group for the monthly meeting here at Eastside. Look for monthly updates in our newsletter. It will be the second Wednesday of each month at 1:00 pm! They also meet every third Tuesday and share their crafts/hobbies.

Sewing & Crocheting

Join the group if you would like to share your talents, and ideas and socialize, or if you need assistance sewing or crocheting. Will be held on Tuesdays at 9:30am.
