Chair Yoga with Cheri
Chair Yoga is great for everyone, especially those with limited mobility. The physical benefits of yoga include greater flexibility, more strength & better muscle tone, improved breathing, healthier blood pressure and heart activity, increase in energy and improved balance.
If you can breathe, you can do some form of yoga!
Thanks to the Silver Sneakers Program, you may have the opportunity to try chair yoga for FREE. Many health insurances offer the Silver Sneakers as a free benefit, including AARP, Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Care Network of Michigan, Humana and a few others. Call the office to check if your insurance is a participating plan. If not, you are still welcome to join us for Yoga for just $3.00

Creative Movement Class
Similar to the doctor recommended Tai Chi, this Creative Movement class explores the connection between body, mind, and soul. Skip the afternoon nap and refresh yourself with movement meditation, inspired imagery, and personal expression. This class can be experienced sitting down or standing.
When: Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m.

Drums Alive® combines the benefits of a traditional physical fitness program with the brain affected benefits of music and rhythm. Drums Alive® is a program that fosters a healthy balance physically, mentally, emotionally and socially!
Drums Alive can help:
- Strengthen bones and muscles diminishing stress on the joints
- Improve flexibility, muscle tone and coordination
- Improve posture and balance which can help prevent falls
- Reduce stress and tension
- Boost immune system
- Improve socialization, group interaction and cooperation, and builds confidence!
- Reduce burnout and boredom

A tech will be here from Adaptive Modification Solutions to perform adjustments and repairs to walkers and wheelchairs. This service is being offered FREE of charge; however, if your repair requires a part you will be responsible for the cost of that part. Generally parts that may need replacing include batteries, tippers, and walker parts. First come, first served.

Heartland Hospice Grief Gathering
A weekly time for those who are grieving the death of a loved one to gather together to offer each other support, encouragement and hope. This group allows participants time to share their stories, learn new information regarding the grieving process, and connect with others who have similar experiences. This is an open, ongoing group that is free of charge and welcomes the public.
When: Every Thursday 11:00am– 12:00pm
Blood Pressure Screenings
A nurse from Comfort Keepers provides blood pressure screenings, free of charge.
When: Thursdays from 10:30a.m. -12:00 a.m.
Screenings are conducted on a first-come, first serve basis.
Hearing Screening & Minor Hearing Aid Adjustments
Fluke Hearing will be at Eastside Senior Center to evaluate your hearing needs for FREE. Must call the office to make an appointment.
